Biaxial Geogrid Fiber Glass Premium Solution for Roadworks, Highways and Driveways
In a major provincial highway project (85km total length), frequent heavy truck traffic caused severe cracking and rutting. Fiberglass geogrid was introduced to solve these issues.
The Process: After milling the old asphalt and cleaning the base, the geogrid was unrolled with a 10-15cm overlap and fixed with special nails. Hot asphalt mixture was then paved directly over the grid.
Results: The grid effectively dispersed vehicle loads and inhibited reflection cracks. After one year, the pavement remained in excellent condition, with an expected service life extension of 5-8 years compared to traditional methods.
